Stephanie Paine was born and raised in Michigan, USA, and received her MFA from the Photography and Related Media Department at Purdue University. Her artistic interests include pinhole photography, video, and photographing interior spaces. Her research interests include the phenomena of the body and the use of technology as a perceptual device. Currently she is a visiting lecturer at Sabancı University in İstanbul, Turkey.
