Zeynep Gündüz is a PhD candidate at the department of Media Studies , University of Amsterdam, where she also took an MA diploma (research master) in Media Studies in 2007 and a BA degree in media and culture 2005. She attended the De Theaterschool (Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten), department of Modern Theater Dance from 1998 to 2001. From 1989 to 1998 she was trained at and graduated from Hacettepe University State Conservatory's department of classical dance in Ankara, Turkey. Her research interests are contemporary dance and mime performance, avant-garde performance and screen. Her PhD project is entitled ‘Interactive Dance: The merger of media technologies and the dancing body’.
