ÖZGÜN KILIÇ: Born in 1989 and currently living in Istanbul, Özgün Kılıç is a newly graduate visual communication design professional from Sabanci University with VCD major and Art Theory and Criticism minor diploma. During the summer of 2009 she volunteered for a restoration atelier in Bildudalur, Iceland. Working on the restoration of a local gallery hosting take-away artists to be opened in 2012, revealed her enthusiasm in rural architectural structures and its problematics. Supporting this interest in the field of architecture combined with digital photography, in 2010 she worked on an unpublished academic paper with Dr. Lanfranco Aceti based on the relation between female body and architectural structures. Within the same year her photographic works on the very same context were nominated for the Moons and Stars: Young Photographers Awards Ceremony. Her thesis project, Microfields – a 3D animation based on the organization of natural and productive cycles in an imaginary city system- is nominated to be exhibited in Amber Festival 2011.
BARIŞ GÜMÜŞTAŞ:Born in 1988, Barış Gümüştaş is a programmer and an interaction designer presently living in Istanbul. Majored in Computer Science and graduated from Istanbul University, he is currently studying his MSc in Istanbul Technical University on Industrial Design. He started his career as an interface designer in his 3rd year in BA, he later switched to programming. In 2009 his information visualization work on 2009 Eurovision Results appeared in major info-vis blogs, currently leading to the work’s appearance in the book Visual Complexity published by Princeton Architecture Press. Focusing further on programming, he developed various digital projects such as web sites and interactive installations. In 2009 his workshop proposal with his friends for EASA (European Architecture Students Assembly) 2009 got accepted and he visited Italy for tutoring an information visualization workshop. He also made some appearances in several audio performances as a VJ in Dogzstar and Edgar G.
